Application Guidelines
To be considered for ASAP, you must complete the ASAP 2025 Application which includes general questions as well as individual requirements for each internship.
You may apply to one, or more than one, but can hold no more than one internship. Each internship page lists materials required to apply for that opportunity and contact information in the event of questions or concerns about that internship. Complete the application only once, and note that the application will save your progress until it is submitted, allowing for continued work on your application.
All application components, including internship-specific materials must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, February 28th, 2025.
How do I apply?
Complete and Submit the ASAP 2025 Application Form Once
The application for ASAP is available online. To apply for the program, create a login using an email address and password of your choosing. Complete the short-answer questions related to your interest in the full cohort program. Then select every internship practicum placement (IPP) for which you would like to be considered. Each has its own required supplemental application materials, for example, a cover letter or additional short-answer questions. You must complete the full application, including supplemental materials for every IPP you are applying for, in order to be considered for the ASAP program. You may express interest in multiple IPPs but can hold only one.
The strongest applications for ASAP articulate a clear understanding of the aims and format of ASAP. This is not a traditional internship. We are looking for students who are interested in participating fully and actively in a professional development experience – centered on workshops and cohort-building. The most successful applications make it clear not only that this is your interest but also why. What are the experiences that have shaped your values? Which of your values align with the objectives of the ASAP program? How will your future aims be served by your participation in this program? How will you enhance the ASAP community with who you are and the nature of your participation? The best applications draw all of those thoughts together into a cohesive set of statements about your fit with this opportunity – both the specific IPP and the broader ASAP program – to grow in your understanding of careers in higher education.
